George’s creative journey with food started a few days afte graduating from U.C. Berkeley when he boarded a plane for Paris, 
where he enrolled in the Grand Diplome program at Ecole de Cuisine, La Varenne.

He lived and worked in Paris for 5 years as a food stylist and since then has worked on location throughout Europe, Asia, South Africa, and America. Currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he brings a rich background of food and design experience to the table. He has helped define the look and creative direction of countless cookbooks, editorial projects and advertising campaigns for leading consumer brands. He is the author of four top selling cookbooks, including Williams-Sonoma Entertaining, winner of the IACP Best General Cookbook Award.

 
His approach to creating great food and lifestyle photography can encompass everything from the initial concept to recipe development, pre-production, and on set styling.
